Who we are

This policy explains what Averlin Ltd. does with your personal information when you visit averlin.com, buy from us, or write to us.

We are a small company. We do not sell customer data, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not share your details with data brokers. Ever.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Order details — name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, and what you bought.
• Payment details — handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Correspondence — anything you write to us by email, form or phone, and our replies.
• Marketing preferences — your email address, if you subscribe to the letter, and whether you've unsubscribed.
• Monogram text, where you've asked for personalisation.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type and device type.
• Pages viewed, referring site, and time on site.
• Cookie identifiers, as described below.

Why we use it

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to get a bag to your door and keep the business lawful:

• Payment processors — to take payment securely.
• Carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL) — name, address and phone number, for delivery only.
• Email platform — your address, if you subscribed.
• Analytics provider — pseudonymised usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Accountants, auditors and regulators — where the law requires it.

Each of these is bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions.

Cookies

Essential cookies cannot be switched off without breaking the site. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or writing to us.

How long we keep it

• Order and transaction records — 7 years, for tax and accounting law.
• Support correspondence — 3 years from last contact.
• Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we don't email you again by mistake.
• Analytics data — 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything inaccurate.
• Delete your data, where we're not legally required to keep it.
• Stop or restrict a particular use, including marketing.
• Send your data to another provider in a portable format.
• Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — noting that we do neither.

Write to privacy@averlin.com. We respond within 30 days, and there's no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we don't hand your details to someone else.

Security & transfers

The site runs over TLS. Payment data is tokenised by our processor and never touches our servers. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and protected by two-factor authentication.

Where data moves between the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved safeguard.

Children

The site is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes & contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Anyone on the newsletter will be told by email.
